Raw Blackberry Honey

Looking back on the days of old we picture ourselves as children walking down to the nearby creek side, buckets in tow anxious to pick the savory, sweet, & delicious wild blackberries. Fingertips stained red from the sweet juices seeping from the berries, we count ourselves lucky if we manage to arrive home with even a handful of blackberries for the rest of the family to enjoy.

Blackberry nectar is one of the sweetest nectars available to the honeybees in June and July.  Knowing that this nectar is coming the Queen Bee (also known by us as the little mama) will lay enough bee eggs so that the force of field bees needed to collect this sweet nectar is available.

During this season of blackberry bloom age we place our hives among 5 acres of wild blackberries near Winston, Oregon. Taste of yourself why our honey bees love the delicious Raw Blackberry Honey as much as we do.
